January, 2017, Sydney, Australia. Mobile tech provider, Realview, are disrupting traditional user access and engagement with tourist guides through their innovative platform, Partica, which converts print media into rich, responsive HTML5 content for mobile.

Partica is the Australian world first mobile publishing solution that brings brochures and visitor guides to life on mobile, tablet and desktop. By sending a simple SMS, users can have an adaptive, personalised and engaging viewing experience straight into their hands.Realview’s CEO, Richard Lindley, says “As mobile marketing and publishing experts, we’re excited to deliver a platform that celebrates and enhances community engagement with local cultural activities, like Sydney Film Festival and the Official Sydney Guide.”

Realview’s CEO, Richard Lindley, says “As mobile marketing and publishing experts, we’re excited to deliver a platform that celebrates and enhances community engagement with local cultural activities, like Sydney Film Festival and the Official Sydney Guide.”

One of Partica’s major calling cards is the ‘SMS a keyword’ feature, which allows users to text a keyword advertised on a billboard, a train, or in the airport arrival zone, and the latest HTML5 version of their guide will appear immediately on their phone. Users can bypass the fiddly app store process and instead receive user-friendly content as soon as its requested.

The Sydney Film Festival use Partica to provide their annual program to its audience, which includes the SMS feature. The sleek, stylised, easy-to-use mobile guide allows users to make direct bookings, get directions to venues and view film trailers directly on their phones.

“The first interactive mobile version of the Sydney Film Festival guide was a huge success. It provided a more streamlined experience for visitors, with events, reviews, trailers and other promotional material available on a unified, user-friendly platform,” said Mr Lindley.

The digital version of Destination NSW’s Official Sydney Guide is also powered by Partica and managed on behalf of the Hardie Grant group. Previously, the guide had a standard flipbook edition and a replica of print pages for tablet, without digital interactivity or the capacity to stylise and reformat valuable content for viewers.

“A key focus for the Sydney Guide is advertiser incentives, including trackable CTAs such as call now, book now, get directions, and links to the official website and Trip Advisor page,” said Mr Lindley.

Partica’s features also allows publishing partners to:

  • Track interactions for rich reader insights via Google Analytics
  • Upsell opportunities with rich media such as YouTube videos, interactive maps, and zoom interactivity
  • Extend native advertising opportunities to new brands that don’t appear in print
  • Spotlight premium advertisers with sponsored SMS marketing

To receive a sample guide on your mobile, SMS the keyword SYDNEY to 0475 111 222
